Title: Connecting 2 tracks
Post by: arbasu on December 19, 2009, 04:17:38 PM
I want to have two concentric oval tracks. I have one oval track that connects to a DCC unit to the AC adapter and one the tracks have a black section that comes with a connector on both sides. How do I connect the other oval track to the same unit? Do I have to buy a track section with a connector and can I connect both the tracks to the same DCC?

Maybe my question is too vague - hence no response.

Basically I have an oval track running with a DCC. I want add a 2nd concentric oval. I plan to use to left n right crossover turnouts. By virtue of connecting the 2nd track to the existing one, does it automatically get enough power to run a 2nd loco on the 2nd track?

It depends on how many amps your system has and you may want to add feeders evenly spaced throughout both ovals to ensure consistent power.
