I recently purchased the Digital Commander set with two DCC locomotives. These do not have sound decoders, but I would like to add them to the locos. Is there a sound decoder that is made for these Bachmann units or a generic decoder that can reasonably be installed?

No, it is not easily installed either due to a lack of space, making for a difficult situation that is not very well suited for after market sound modifications.
