Title: Shay Decoders
Post by: chaynes on January 28, 2010, 03:35:33 PM
I have a DCC ready three truck shay that I want to install a decoder in, and Possibly add sound.  I've never done either.  Any tips?  Any recommendations on the best sound decoder to use?

The Light Logging Tsunami intended for the application is probably the best.

Go to the below site. He has everything. Do yourself a favor, spend some time looking through his site. There is a lot of very good DCC info for new users.

Bruce also answers email.

He is active in the below Yahoo SoundTraxx DCC group. Do yourself another favor, join the group.

I am not trying to take you away from this group but add to knowledge for this group. Staying in one group can stifle your model railroad knowledge if you are new to the hobby.
