Title: Alternate power source?
Post by: rarcher on February 01, 2010, 05:54:45 PM
I bought my 3 year old an N Scale Bachmann Santa Fe Explorer train set and I built a train table (all for him, of course).  After adding several lighted building, streetlights, etc. the power pack apparently could not handle the load and the internal breaker would trip.  The train continued to run fine but the accessories cut off.  How can I run all of the accessories on some type of alternative power source?  FYI, I have all of the accessories connected to two 10 pole terminal strips mounted under the table.  Any suggestions?

Get another transformer to run the AC accessories, either another N scale or a HO scale unit whatever you can get inexpensively , though the HO might have more VA to allow for additional growth .  J II
