Title: EZ Track #6 Turnout
Post by: STR on February 21, 2010, 11:38:46 PM
Is there an EZ-Track curve that can bring the turnout route back to a parallel course with the original track route?

The 10 degree 18"R (item 44530) piece is close.  Unfortunately, it lowers your minimum radius to 18".

Hope this helps.

inv tan(1/6) is approximately 9½°
so a Joe mentioned, look for a section or combination of sections that will equal about 9½° - 10° is probably close enough.

Personally; I'd take an 18° section of 35.5" radius, and cut it in half, then use rail joiners, a bit of adhesive and a splice plate to hold the half section to switch.  If only a small amount of adhesive is used, it will not be difficult to pop it off.  The 35.5" radius will provide smooth operation.
