In Dec. 1966 the CB&Q Havelock shop painted 8 Boxcars gold. 4 road numbers are 17302 17786 60682 61417. The BRHS only has these numbers. Anyone know the other 4?
a Burlington steam loco was also painted gold, making it look like a brass model!!
I have a friend who got to run that CB&Q 4-8-4 into the roundhouse in Kansas City. He said that was a nice locomotive. Much nicer than the 2-8-0s he fired for the army.
