anybody have ny ideas on aDDING A SOUND DECODER TO RIVAROSSI LOCO HAS 8 PIN PLUG

You might have better luck posting this question on a forum dedicated to Rivarossi models.  Also, you can dheck the Soundtraxx web site.  And finally, it might help your web searching to know that in this part of the mountains, we spell Allegheny with a lot fewer letters.  Hope this helps.

I do not like advising on other brands in the Bachmann forums but here is a little info.

I have seen in one search result from Tony's that the 8 pin connector is wired incorrectly.
Your mileage may vary.

Go join the Yahoo SoundTraxx Group. You will need it for this decoder setup. There are many CV's to deal with.

      Go to www.gatsme.org.   That is the webpage for the GATSME Model Railroad Club.   Contact Val Pistilli,  the page's webmaster.   I believe he put a Tsunami decoder in an Allegheny for another club member.
