Title: dynamic smoke
Post by: lewi on August 09, 2010, 08:05:17 PM
What are the chances of Bachmann ever releasing an HO scale engine with dynamic smoke?  For those that don't know the difference between a smoke generator and dynamic smoke here are two videos: http://www.reynaulds.com/km1.aspx.  I know of one German company that is supposed to come out with an HO scale engine with dynamic smoke either late this year or early next year.

It is most likely pretty far off if it ever happens, around 30 years or never.

Having viewed the videos  and  checked the scale size  and looked at the list prices for the equipment , I would say : Ain't gonna happen .  Those are large scale engines and  $4000+ a pop  is not going to fly under current economic  conditions . To reduce the engineering to HO scale is going  to be an expensive proposition . Besides which the fluid is $59.95 a liter.    Just my opinion.  John II
