Title: EZ-Track turnouts
Post by: lho98 on October 16, 2010, 03:56:56 PM
New to this but...I can't hook up two secionts of track to an Ez_track turnout because the roaddbeds are to wide.  Is there a special connector or do I have to trim some of the plastic off to make the connection?

There should be to sections that come off so you can connect them, look underneath and you'll see where they break-away.

Yes.  You have to break off a piece of roadbead.
I am going to assume the turnout in question is a #5, or something like that.  The turnout should have come with shot (2") straight piece.  Turn that piece upsidedown.  You should see some scoring.  Compare the end of this piece with other straight pieces.  With fingers or pliers, bend several times along the scored edge.  Then break off.  Attach this piece to one of the turnout ends, and you should be able to attach as normal.  I usually break both sides of the short piece for simplicity sake.

Hope this helps.  If not, let me know and I'll try to explain better.

Recommend EZ NS track #44513 (4 pack of 2.25" straight track sections).  All are pre-scored for snapping off angled sides and fitting with larger turnouts.
