The other day I dismantled a Plymouth switcher I got second hand (it works ok) and noticed that in the armature, the windings have a white color, that doesn't seem like the regular varnish or the wires of which the armature is made, but more like some oxidation or as the result of overheating (I'm just using imagination).
Has anybody noticed this in your motors? I measured the current and the unloaded engine draws around 200mA, sounds that normal?
I just wonder if the motor is about to finish its career... ???
