Title: Improved Electric Pickup for the HO 1870's Bachmann 4-4-0 - UPDATED
Post by: hminky on November 04, 2010, 02:23:46 PM
I have a "what I did" about putting reliable electrical pickup in the Bachmann HO Oldtyme 4-4-0. This is an update of the original 2006 WID and includes electrifying the locomotive.

Very nice Harold. Nice tutorial that I know many will appreciate.

I am considering pulling the five year old Lenz N scale decoder and installing the Digitrax DZ125 decoder which is about the size of a dime and has BEMF capability.

I used the Digitrax DN135D, under $20. A good decoder makes a loco run better.
