Title: Programming DCC engines
Post by: jamestrain1706 on December 24, 2010, 03:59:21 PM
I am trying to reprogram 2 new DCC engines from factory setting of "3" button to different numbers. After following directions many times I am still unable to change the program number of either engine.

Which DCC system are you using?  E-Z Command, MRC, Digitrax, NCE?

Thanks for the help. Now I've got a DCC engine that was running correctly all morning, then it suddenly stopped and won't move. The light is working with function 10, so it seems to be receiving power. Is there a reset I need to do or is the engine in trouble?
Thanks.

Thank you I'll try those steps. How do I know if the train is in "function mode"? Is that when the light is blinking next to the number?

Much gratitude for your time.

Dear James,
When the light is flashing it does indeed indicate Function mode.
Merry Christmas!

Thanks again. I'll be back in the morn, I'm sure.

SO I've got a problem. The lights are not blinking but I the engine will not respond to any movement. The headlight will occasionally turn on but the engine will not move, nor can I reprogram it to a different number. Is there a way of resetting the engine with my EZ controller?
Thanks.
