Title: Steam Engine
Post by: jshellen on December 25, 2010, 07:18:24 AM
I got a Bachman HO set for the kids for christmas but it did not come with any kinds of instruction book.  My question is how do you get the steam to work in the engine.  How much of the little tube of steam fluid do you use and where do you put it?  Any other important things I should know?

Just put about 4 drops of fluid down the smoke stack.
Then run the loco at 75% or higher for about a minute or two and it should start to work.
Have a dry towel handy, some times the smoke fluid will spit out of the stack, use the towel to clean off the loco.
Best towel would be like an old t-shirt, or t-shirt like cloth.
Use the same towel plus some alcohol to clean the track afterwards too.
