Title: DCC Spectrum Consolidation Problem
Post by: ThomasFan247 on January 09, 2011, 09:15:42 PM
I have a DCC Spectrum Consolidation. Often times when I try to reverse the engine into a siding on my layout, the tender derails. I think it is because of the wires being close to the draw-bar and not allowing it to swivel normally. Is there anything that I can do about this problem?

Nothing to do with the DCC.

If it's the wheels closest to the locomotive, give the wires a little more slack, gently tug on them and do what I've done to all my tenders.  I add a little weight under the coal at the front end of the tender.  I use washers just a tad smaller than the coal pile.   Works a treat.  :-I
