Title: Spectrum Norfolk & Western problem
Post by: darticus on February 18, 2011, 05:37:39 PM
I seem to have a problem with this at the turnouts. It almost seems to lift up and loose wheel contact. Anyone notice this? Ron

At what point in its travel through the turnout is this wheel lift happening?
At the switch points? At the frog? And which axle does it seem to be lifting at which point in the turnout?

It is a wheel gauge issue see my response in your 'turnout' post.

I think one problem is the wheels on the tender have a poor method for electric contact to the track. So the only contact to the track was the 3 front sets of wheels on the loco. Check wheel contacts on the tender and adjust or add pressure to contacts in the tender. Much better electric pickup. No stopping and starting at this time. Ron
