On the spectrum line of diesel engines, will the GP engines match the drive of the SD's?

If I am double heading a GP with a SD will the engines be in sync.

With DCC, some fine tuning needed. With DC controlled loco, depends on the loco. Some "might" be close but not exact. Try it yourself and experiment. That is the fun of model railroading.
