Title: sound decoder
Post by: jerryl on March 29, 2011, 12:40:30 PM
Need suggestions for a sound & motor decoder for a Model power Mantua Pacific with a 9 pin set up.  I have checked various mfgs. w/ no answers. Really new to sound, but have installed numerous motor decoders. Any help will be appreciate.   Thanks,   jerry

You did not check the SoundTraxx site. Many 4-6-2's are similar.
This is not a Mantua loco but it is a 4-6-2. I will post the link because Bachmann uses the Tsunami. Speaker install will depend on the tender design.

K4 4-6-2 Pacific   TSU-1000 Medium Steam   826102   810054/ 81011

In case you did not save the lnik to Favorites that I have posted before, do so now. He explains on how to cut back the shrink to get to the decoder 9 pin connector.
Click on Curriculum. Click on SoundTraxx. This guy has loads of good DCC info.
