Title: DCC-Equipped E60CP Locomotive Issues in programming the engine ID number

I have a DCC-Equipped E60CP Locomotive Amtrak 971 and the EZ-Command DCC controller.
Despite I follow the standard procedure to assign a new ID to the locomotive (default is n. 3) I can't change the ID number and it's works only with the ID number 3.
How do can I solve the problem?

On page 3 of your manual, where it says "...press button 3 AND the Stop button at the same time ..." try this instead:  press button 3 and while holding it down, press the Stop button.  When the power light flashes quickly, you can release both of them.
