Title: Older Bachmann HO track?
Post by: Neo Fender on May 09, 2011, 02:45:07 PM
Hello,

A co-worker gave me two, lightly used Bachman HO starter sets.  From what I can gather, the set was made/sold around 1996.  The track connections are not the same as the EZ track that I have.  Any idea what it's called and if there are any adapters available?

Thanks.

You either just have standard/ordinary snap track, or you may have Life-Like track. If it is the former they can be used together, but you need to put roadbed under it like cork and then ballast the track.

You can also join Bachmann E-Z Track to LifeLike Power-Lok track either by using adapter sections from Walthers or by cutting the plastic hooks off one piece of each kind and butting the cut ends together.

Click on the link below to see the adapters and to check that the top ends look like the ends of your tracks.
