Title: Bachmann's Pegasus and Lafayette
Post by: N.H.&I.railfan on June 14, 2011, 08:11:47 PM
From what I can see from  photos the locomotives on these two sets appear identical with the exceptions of the name plates  on sides of the boilers and roadnames on the tenders. It seems it's the coaches that are the difference in the two sets. Am I correct in my observation that the locmotives are indeed physically and mechanically identical?  Need to know since I'm interested in buying one or possibly both for display purposes. Suggestions and input from this board's readers is welcomed.

The locomotives sure look the same. It was my assumption that they are the same engine with different finishes, but I can't speak definitively.

Being a chronic procastinator, I'm just just glad I was able to get a "Lafayette" set on eBay.  ::)
