Title: DCC from RS-3 to Bachman GP 35
Post by: davesurf on June 26, 2011, 09:12:02 PM
Friends...
Will the DCC board on the Bachmann RS3 work on the non-DCC Bachmann GP-35? Any thoughts on making the GP 35 DCC in a more friendly manner?

a better way is to hard wire a decoder into the gp35. follow these directions, courtesy of jim banner:

while the instructions are for the h16-44, they work just as well for other split frame locomotives such as the gp30 and gp35. i have personally done a gp35, with a digitrax dh123 decoder.

Thank you, Jeff

Jeff, after wiring, you you need to replace the bulbs with 14V grain of wheat bulbs?
