so i bought this train set for my boyfriend, its an unopened silver star ho scale electric set. says it has a diesel locomotive with 8 wheel drive. i assume this is old and i have no idea if it even works. but please tell me about it! i will post a picture when i figure it out.

This set I just looked up on ebay and Comes with EZ Elevated track, engine Santa Fe # 6067, 4 cars, scenery, power pack. It should work ok.

It originally sold for $86 as far as I can tell, present day I wouldn't pay more than $30 or $40 for it.

A Silver Streak Now for $99.00, brand new. Never can tell if someone would buy it. Looks to be more than the Silver Star.
I saw an old listing for a used Silver Star for $29.95 but do not know the actual price paid.
I also found a new Silver Star at Amazon.com for $100.00.
All I did was a Google search for bachmann silver star train set.
