I have had the above loco sent to me as a present from the USA.
I find that it is DCC Equipped. As I am an 'oldie', my layout is analogue.
Will the loco run on my layout as it is .

Yes it will run on DC. I have to assume it has not been on a DCC layout and had the DC option disconnected by re-programming. That has happened to some.
You will have to tun the power pack up somewhat higher than usual.
Below is the decoder used in this loco. I see no way to modify to run strictly as a DC loco. You can disconnect the pickup wires and splice them to the motor wires but the lights would not work.
If Bachmann has changed the decoder to allow inserting a DC adapter like most of their locos, I am not aware of it.
