Title: N Scale Lettering
Post by: Frisco4018 on November 20, 2011, 06:50:57 PM
How would I letter a bachmann 4-6-0? If the answer is decals like these- http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/Microscale-N-70001-Alphabet-Railroad-Roman-White-p/460-70001.htm , how would I apply them?

If you are looking for a particular roadname, I would suggest looking for a set of that roadname.  You'll have to trim the decal close to the letter(s) you want to use.  Soak them in water until they begin to loosen from the backing paper.  Slide them into position on the model.  Put on some decal setting solution and they'll snuggle right down.  You may then want to give the loco a shot of Dullcote to hide the decal shine.  This is a quick, simplistic explanation for decalling a model.  I'm sure others will chime in with more detailed instructions.
