Title: Bachmann N scale turnouts and crossovers DCC friendly?
Post by: dornier on December 29, 2011, 01:40:35 AM
Hi,

I have a new DCC setup and I'm using Bachmann N scale E-Z track.  I setup the following layout using all E-Z tracks and it shuts down my DCC system.  If I remove the turnouts and just use a single loop, everything works great, but if I add the turnouts my DCC system shuts down.  The turnout packaging talks about not powering the frog for DCC, but two of them appear to be powered.  I bought three turnouts and one of them has a frog that's not powered, but the other two appear to be powered.  How do I remove power from the frog?

All of the turnouts are item# 44861 and 44862
Here's a picture of the powered frog:

Here's a picture of the unpowered frog:

Here's a picture of the layout I tried:

Thanks for the help,

George

Have you tried asking this question in the N-scale section of this forum?  That is where the N-scale experts hang out.
