Title: time period of Pacific Flyer; Union Pacific; 0-6-0 Steam locomotive set?
Post by: Danny L.S. on December 30, 2011, 07:11:41 PM
I received this Pacific Flyer set as a Xmas gift and would like to purchase a passenger freight car to go with it.  But I don't know what time period this Steam locomotive and freight cars are in...I would like the new passenger freight car to match the time period of the current cars.  Any ideas?

It's kind of a mish-mash.
Just sort of using "ballpark" figures here.
0-6-0 is good for anything from 1920s to 1950s.
Chicago & Illinois Midland boxcar is probably late 40s, more likely 50s, 60s
Not sure when Canadian National started using 'wet noodle' logo but probably was 1960s at earliest and still use in here in 2011.
Caboose is probably acceptable for 1940s to 1980s

Okay, CN logo is from 1960 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_National_Railway
