I have a circle of Bachmann EZ track made from the 33.25 radius track that goes under our Christmas tree. I want to create a siding using a switch with the curved portion as part of the circle. What switch and track components do I need to accomplish this? Have been struggling with trying to create such a plan but cannot figure out the right combination of track pieces. I want to use the siding to back the train behind the couch next to the tree when the grandkids are not running it around. I really don't want to insert the switch into the circle with the straight piece and add another straight piece on the opposite side of the circle if I can accomplish that.

Adding a turnout in any position will not let you make a full radius circle. You will have to add a section on the opposite side no matter what.
