Title: Alco 2-6-0 video
Post by: rogertra on January 21, 2012, 03:02:16 AM
Here's a link of one of my straight out of the box 2-6-0s running on a friend's small display layout.

I currently do not have any model railroad, hence video taken at my friend's house.

Nice sound.  Reminds me of "Petticoat Junction" of all things.  :)

Was that 15"R on the inside curve?  Curious minds want to know...

Regards,

Jonathan

Jonathan.

Not a clue regarding the radius as it's not my model railway.  It's a friend's display layout, not his "real" model railroad.

I was just blowing a 14L  correctly, with the bell sounding as well.  The two short whistles after the crossing are just to acknowledge the wave a railfan, my friend who was video taping.   :)

Yes, I agree.  But removing the lettering and respraying isn't a big deal.

Mine will need relettering for my Great Eastern and repainting anyway as I've got to add all the missing details that Bachmann admittedly left off to keep the price low.
