Title: Just beginning our hobby
Post by: Heybuddy on January 28, 2012, 11:36:44 PM
We are very new to HO scale and working on finding our way.  We are wanting to add switches to our layout and have a question about connecting to the accessory terminals on the controller/power pack, model 46605A.  The terminals push in to open a hole.  In order to connect can someone confirm that I need to cut the ends of the red wires off (the parts that you'd typically slide onto a screw type terminal connection), strip a small length of wire and attach throw the holes please?  It would be my luck that I would assume and fry the entire thing.

Thanks in advance!

With My Kids set I just stick one side of  the fork style connector into the hole from the bottom,  if you are so inclined you could cut it then "Tin" the end of the wire with solder to keep it from always fraying.

Thanks!  I'll try that first.  Eventually we will grow to something larger so that may be the best idea.
