Title: is a reverse loop module needed in dcc systems
Post by: gandy dancer#1 on February 18, 2012, 11:21:58 AM
For Mr. Jim Banner and others: I have read several articles on dcc some suggested by Mr. Banner, But i am  still unclear on, if i need a reverse loop module with dcc if i run a loop back into the main track. well aware with dc this must be installed. and would assume same with a dcc system??????

Reversers only for DCC. They will not work for DC. For DC, a DPDT switch.

Bachmann sells one too, but again like Rich said, only for DCC. I have 3 on my layout and they work flawlessly.

The Digitrax DB150 command station has one built in, no fuss, no muss, no extra wiring, no DPDT switch, it's all good!

You don't "need" the auto reversing units, you can still just use a DPDT switch, even with DCC, and do it manually. Jim
