Title: s4 switcher
Post by: westchalco on February 24, 2012, 10:46:20 PM
I just received my new S4 engine with sound.  Is there a way to blow the horn in DC mode?

Dear West,
I've been told that a quick power spike, delivered by quickly twisting the power knob up and back, will trigger the whistle sound.
To get reliable control consider EZ Command, an affordable DCC system with which to begin.
Have fun!

HI I was seeing this message, so it means that I can run a DCC loco like this S4 Switcher on an analogue layout? obviously I assume that the sound will not work but!? I am asking thi as I intend on buying this same S4 switcher to use on my DC layout.

Thanks
Ian

The S4 will  run in Analog (DC) mode with limited sound features.

I would like to know if the prime mover sounds are correct for this locomotive, Alco 539T?
