Title: Berkshires
Post by: M1FredQ on March 03, 2012, 12:56:53 PM
Have been reading up on the Pere Marquette Line which used to run
in our area.
Has Williams considered doing a Berkshire  in P. M. ????

Mr. Bach-Man,   Yes, how about a Perre Marquette Berkshire????? ;D
And while you are at it...   A new caboose, perhaps a bay window style?

Like Bob, a new caboose would be great!!
Maybe an extended vision caboose, or bay window caboose.

It is amazing how many rail-lines operated in our area of the midwest.
Maybe Williams can start a series. East coast and southest had some nice lines too.
I am really stuck on the Atlantic Coast Lines. I heard from a retired railroader when I
was down in Florida last month that as they would run the ACL engines through the wash,
the paint would come off and they had painters ready to re-apply the colors!!!!!!!!!!!

IMHO,it would be nice if all WBB locos were made unmarked. They could also be painted a basic black and the hobbiest could  paint and letter them as wanted. Most HO gauge locos were sold this way in the 1940s and 1950s.
