dewey-

This is a clearer question that the other. However, it's very bad form to post the same question multiple times. And it won't help you get a quicker or better answer. So ... just post once but make sure your question is clear.

What is ndot?

ndot is normal direction of travel. in other words, when the direction switch is set to forward this is the direction the locomotive moves.

to answer the original question, read back cv29. changing the value from an even number to an odd one or vice versa will change ndot.

Jeff-

Thanx. I thought that might be it but I wasn't sure.

i change the ndot all the time.  i am one of those who prefer my gp7s and gp9s to run long hood first.

it should also be noted that, if all your locomotives seem to run the opposite way of how you want them to, it may be easier to swap the feeder wires to the tracks, at the command station.
