Title: Mr. Bachmann: How about a Spectrum...
Post by: Steam is King on July 16, 2012, 01:09:06 PM
HO Scale Rayonier #70, 2-8-2 Baldwin steam locomotive? The small, non-Chinese, Mikado niche needs to be filled!

How 'bout it?

Still holding out for a Ventura County No. 2 Baldwin 2-6-2 as well.

Thanks!

Manny

Several years ago, when they first came out, i had bought two SY Mikes, and decided to "green card" one-that is, Americanize it.  If I ever had more fun with an engine, I don't know when.  It worked out to a very small mike-like #40 at Ct. Valley, which has now been sold off, from what I understand.
I have a pretty fair steam roster, both plastic and brass; and am starting to really like the appeal of smaller locomotives like this one, and the newly released 2-6-0.  I would like to run across a 2-4-4-2.  Sometimes aesthetics will win out.  So far, Grandson doesn't know about Grampy's choo-choos...
