Dear Mr. Bachmann and Loco Bill:
In addition to:
White Pass & Yukon Railroad
Union Pacific
Were there any other roadnames for the woodburner version of the 2-4-2 Columbia loco ( predecessor to the Indy ) ?
Would you please quote the product number with the roadname?
Is the axle spacing of the saddle tank porter the same as the 2-4-2 Columbia such that the drive and metal side rods could be used to upgrade the 2-4-2 Columbia loco?
What is the diameter of the saddle tank smaller drivers ?
I am hoping that the Green DRGW J&S coaches will be made available this year.
Thank you,
Norman
Hi Norman,
Here is what I have:
91101 UP 19 1989 ~ Loco 2-4-2, with tender, Union Pacific P wood burner
91114 PRR 3 1989 ~ Loco 2-4-2, with tender, PRR P coal load
91119 WP&Y 9 1992 ~ Loco 2-4-2, with tender White Pass & Yukon wood burner
91170 None None 1998 ~ Loco 2-4-2, with tender painted undec P coal load
In 1998 the PRR WP&Y and Undec got an all new drive train and metal wheels on the tenders.
This is all I have and I don't have a saddle tank so can't help there.
Bill
Thanks Bill !
Do you know what is the driver diameter?
Same driver diameter for the 2-4-2 and the new 2-6-0 versions.
Sorry Norman, I no longer have a Columbia. Maybe someone else will chime in with some help.
Bill
Hi Norman:
The 2-4-2 and 2-6-0 Indy drivers are 1.6" in dia. spaced 2 3/16" apart. The 0-4-0 porter's drivers are 1.365" in diameter and 2 11/16" apart.
Wade
Thank you Wade and Loco Bill.
You both have been very helpful.
Norman
