Title: diesel engine to fast ?

 i have diesel engine to fast  it's to fast to run with my anther diesel engine is there any way to slow it down ? ???  and to fast to pull car with out the cars flying off the tracks    ::)

You have to learn to include more info in a question.

DC or DCC?

If DC, no easy way to match speeds.

There is a learning curve. Just be patient. A lot will depend on the loco, decoder and DCC controller type.

It also depends on the loco. If you have an older one with the notorious Hi-F drive,
all ahead flank emergency is the normal speed. But, really, any locomotive will go
more slowly if you cut back on the throttle.

My mistake. I thought he was trying to run two locos in consist.

who makes them.  Sometimes adding weight slows them down.  Especially with Athearn     phil

When you go into DCC, you can set the decoder to limit the top speed so the engine will run more the way you want it to. Until then, all you can do is keep the power down on your throttle.
