Title: gp 40 engine

I bought a GP 40 engine that is gold in color and it is union pacific rail way with the old style of coupler's can you tell me when it was made and what set it was?
It does not have a number on it.

I'm sorry to say that your loco isn't worth very much, maybe $20 on a good day if it's in great
condition. Your best bet would be to put it on ebay or give it to a kid who has trains.

Thank you all very much. The site helped me out, I just wanted to know when it came out, I thought it came out with the golden spike site but I wasn't sure....
