Title: i want to somehow add sound to my chattanooga train set ???

how can I do this ? im expanding it but it lacks one thing sound.i know its a cheap set. can anything be done.

probably the easiest thing to do is buy a locomotive with sound. not only doesn't your locomotive heve sound, it doesn't even have dcc. and adding dcc and sound is not going to be easy for a beginner.

The tender will need all wheel pickups. Six wires between the loco and tender. Forget about smoke. The tender will need a bunch of small holes for the speaker. Careful placement of the speaker over the holes for decent sound. A tender shell that seals tightly. Soldering experience also.
