Post by: doctord_fl on December 24, 2012, 11:33:17 AM
Hey All,

What locomotive decoder is currenly being installed in Bachmann engines?
I have the DayLight Steam Loco #4449 ($150)

Also, has anyone heard of them losing thier programming?

Im using this engine on a NCE layout

i've had it happen on a couple of bachmann gp40s and an atlas rs3. in all cases, a factory default reset brought them back to life, and i was able to easily reprogram the addresses.

it helps to keep a notebook with info on any changes you've made to the factory default settings, such as adjustments to acceletation or speed curves, for each locomotive. that way, you know what to reprogram instead of having the figure it out all over again.
