Title: Help! Bachmann Gordon squeeking driving me nuts!
Post by: ConorB on December 31, 2012, 02:16:23 AM
Would REALLY appreciate some advice for a brand new Bachmann Gordon who has developed an annoying squeek in the front two sets of bogie wheels. He was a Christmas present for my son, who is really wanting this squeeking to stop. I would be grateful for any advice from anyone who knows about this train! Thanks!!

Hmm, I have a Bachmann Gordon and he has an occasional squeak, but i would always lube my models. Bachmann sells lube for the driveshafts of the engine, which is most likely the problem. It is product code BAC99984

Light gear oil should work fine in this application. I cannot recommend WD-40 because it's too abrasive, and could cause major problems.

Thankyou so much for that suggestion - got it on order with Ironhorse Hobbies in Christchurch, NZ............Conor has just graduated from the plastic Thomas & Friends kids sets to these trains so we're all on a sharp learning curve! Happy New Year!
