Title: 45-tonner in N scale?

Although it would be visually attractive (at least I didn't say "cute"), I'm not sure this loco would be a very practical choice for N scale, because it is considerably smaller than the GE 44 tonner (even though it's tonnage rating is heavier), and would be too light to have enough traction to pull very many cars. Also, the complication of working side rods would compound the problem of having an acceptably smooth drive.

well the only reason I ask is because I wanted to use the side rod trucks to make franklin boosters in N scale haha

I dont see the side rods being a problem, the weight maybe. If it could only manage a few cars so be it! Switching duty it is. I would certainly buy several. How cool would that be!
