Title: need help identifying a loco
Post by: scotttheimpaler on May 02, 2013, 04:10:22 PM
I bought this on EBAY assuming it was a Bachmann as described.  It has no markings what so ever but it is a nice piece, did Bachmann make locos with out their logo on them?  Who could have made this?

Thanks for looking,
Scott

My thought is an Athearn unit: 4 holes where the motor is mounted, plus there is a metal clip that holds the coupler in place. Athearn is the only one I know of that used these clips. Joe

it does have 4 holes on the bottom, and metal clips.  I looked up some other vintage Athearn stuff and motor/gearing look the same.

thanks for the help,
Scott

Would this be a PA-1? Take a look at the link below for diagrams of some Athearn locos. Save the link to Favorites. There are diagrams to different brands that people send to Larry at HO Seeker.
