Title: Modifying the Bachmann Heisler
Post by: Kevin S. on May 27, 2013, 05:20:51 PM
For those who like to modify their Bachmann equipment, Pete of Backwoods Miniatures has posted some photos on the On30 Conspiracy of his initial efforts for his promised aftermarket kit for this locomotive.

I had planned to only obtain one Heisler, but now might have to obtain two. I like the looks of the BM kit and may have to have a wood burner and an oil burner.

Here is the link to the photo. You will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page.

About the only thing useful with  the new Heisler for conversions into later heavier locos, is the trucks, 'V' engine and drive shafts. I might just get one for them for that reason.
