Title: disassembly of HO Santa Fe observation
Post by: vanderduim on September 30, 2013, 06:35:01 PM
How do I take apart an HO Santa Fe observation so I can repaint it. Some idiot (no names mentioned) has mislaid the instructions and doesn't want to damage the car. A diagram would help

vanderduim :  I tried to find information on the site , but could not do so .  I have never needed to dis - assemble an observation car . Do you perchance  have instructions for any of the other cars ? Exactly what type of car is it you have ?  Is it a heavy-weight car or a streamliner type from the postwar period ? Most of the bachmann cars have tabs on the sides . Hopefully more knowledgeable people will reply

Thanks for you thoughts. I'm hoping someone will have illustrations. It's a heavyweight car. I've located the tabs but am not sure how to use them.

Dear Van,
The windows and roof are a one piece casting. The tabs release the window/ roof which slides up and out.
Have fun!
