Title: I heard a rumor Bach-man please solve
Post by: Flashwave on September 23, 2007, 06:11:39 PM
That there was a plan to do the SP Daylight in Spectrum, and possibly with sound. (and then, maybe in the AFT scheme) Which would save me a lot of time, effort, and pain in trying to convert the DCC On Board I have to a Sounded Loco.

Could you (or someone) confirm this, please?

They just released a new Standard GS4, in AFT , Daylight, and War Baby schemes, so I think it's unlikely for them to release a Spectrum model .

Dear Flash,
The Spectrum version is on hold-  it was decided to upgrade the Standard Line model first.
Have fun!

Better motor and gears, better contacts, detail improved, operating front coupler with nuckle couplers bow and stern.
Based on my two 0-6-0s, which were early enough NOT to get the front and knucle couplers, a wonderful advancement.

"Traction Tire Equipped for Maximum Traction"

Traction tires are a selling point??????

Not for many modellers.

Are they still the standard RTR, or is Athearn pouring more in?

I know they're selling a new Daylight RTR set with an F7 as its locomotive... I don't think Athearn will release a GS4 anytime soon...
