Title: Making motor gears quieter
Post by: Gone loco on January 13, 2014, 12:47:25 AM
Hi, does anyone know if by using a special grease on ringfield motors instead of oil will make the gear noise less, hopefully I've made myself understood, thanks in advance.

Not so you'd notice.

Make sure all of your screws are properly tightened down so that they will not shake loose.  By itself, Lube will not quiet down a loose part-at least not for long.  There are several oils and greases on the market specifically for this hobby; be sure and check what you are installing with recommended practice.

Just one link from a Google search for ringfield motors.
Google helps me a lot.
