Just passing this along - - B'mann sells a truck ass'y, mod #517XX-00Q01 ( 2-6-0 Alco tender ) for $8.00. Each axle has 3 "fingers" for electrical pick up. 1 truck equals 1 rail. Wire is already soldered in place. Center bolster hole is quite large and contact is held in place by 3 plastic "stub pins", so could easily be xfr'd to a different truck. My B'mann trucks solved a terrible pick ujp situation on my Mantua 2-6-6-2. Well worth the $8.00 to me. Dave
This converts a single track pickup to two track pickup from one truck. I converted my Bachmann steamers.

I have never done six wheel pickups on trucks, only a six wheel loco.
Below is a lit of stuff you can wade through for ideas. Store links in Favourites

Small diameter phosphor bronze wire works quite well for many. Use flexible #30 wire.
Rich.
Definitely need all the pick-ups if you want to make a sound car using the new Soundtraxx sound car decoder. I am seeing quite a few discussions using a sound car module. Sometimes helps using a stay alive module also.
One fellow down under uses a decoder in a caboose for action using a very tiny motor.

What we really need is for the manufacturers of steam locos to have all wheel tender pick up as a standard feature.
Mr. B, are you listening?
