I have a Spectrum 4-4-0 DCC with factory installed sound (Tsunami) and I would like to add a "Keep Alive" module to it. Can someone tell me how to do this. Thanks, Bill
The below link will tell you.
There are various values of easy.
Identify the four diodes used for the full wave bridge rectifier.
Smoke the decoder, Bachmann does not sell the sound decoders.
Use a fine tip soldering iron.

Nice to see you back Rich, you have been a great asset to many a forum.
Something to remember, you "might" void the warranty. no idea on that issue.
Rich
You're too funny ACY. I remember one of the last things you said to Rich before he went on his little hiatus, was to accuse him of defrauding Bachmann over his exchange of his 44 Tonner. ???
Did not surprise me at all. Bachmann would junk the loco anyway. Maybe keep the shell which was not modified.
Rich
Not sure, what Bachmann did or did not do, with the shell you sent in, was the point of ACY's comment at the time.
The two motor was old about four years ago.
all I did is follow the Return page to the letter. I even rewired it to run on DC.
Don't know how many do this will older locos but Bachmann offers it.
I suggest if some don't like it, Bachmann change their procedure.
I had a couple 0-6-0 with pancake motors Vandy tender but gave the locos to someone here. Did not bother returning for better version.
