Title: Problems with Bachman 2-8-4 Berkshire with DCC/Sound
Post by: brokenpole on July 20, 2015, 02:41:25 PM
I recently purchased a bachman 2-8-4 Berkshire steam locomotive that DCC and Sound equipped.

I am running Atlas Code 80 track with an 11" radius.

When I run the locomotive through a curve it will lose tracktion about half way through the curve. It looks like the wheels on the locomotive lift up off the track and cause the locomotive to stall.

I didn't see any where in the bachman information that this tight a turning radius would be an issue.

Any suggestions. I love this locomotive and really want to make it work.

Bachman item number 50953.

Did you remove the small piece of black foam between the trailing truck and the chassis?

1. You forgot to remove the foam piece under the trailing truck.
2. You're pulling wallpaper off the wall on a curve. Stop it.
3. You're pulling 789 cars. Try backing off a few.
4. You forgot to remove the foam piece under the trailing truck.
