Title: Bachmann & Prodigy DCC
Post by: mikec069 on November 14, 2007, 07:34:42 AM
I think I know the answer, but I'd like confirmation.  I have 2 Bachamnn DCC diesels and 2 non-Bachamnn DCC diesels.  Problem is my prodigy controler can't seem to redo the default addresses.  I used the E-Z controller to set the Bachmanns but Prodigy stills sees the default address.  My question is can I be using BOTH the E-Z controller concurrently with the prodigy ???

Thank you all in advance

One hard and fast rule with DCC - you cannot have two command stations connected to the same track.  So no, you cannot connect the E-Z DCC and the Prodigy to the track at the same time.

It seems very strange that your Prodigy would read back 03 on CV1 after your E-Z DCC has programmed it to something else.  Does the locomotive run on 03 when using you Prodigy?  Or does it run on the number that the E-Z Command programmed it to?  One last thought, when you read back CV19, what do you get?
